“I am prosperous, I am healthy, my soul prospers in the knowledge of Jesus .. even Jesus the Word. Everything I put my hand to prospers. I cannot be conquered, I cannot fail. For me to fail, God's Word would have to fail and God's Word NEVER fails. The Greater One lives in me and He helps me succeed. He has given me great abilities. Father God has made me the Righteousness of God in Christ. That’s what I have and that's who I am."

Mark 16:15-18 NIV

15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news (The Gospel) to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

What IS the GOSPEL?

Acts 8:5-8 KJV

5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.

7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.

8 And there was great joy in that city.

(There must be MORE to the GOSPEL than getting to Heaven & missing Hell . . . )

Let’s look at the prophecy concerning Jesus’ ministry from the Old Testament:

Isa 61:1-3 ASV

61:1 The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me; because Jehovah hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening (of the prison) to them that are bound;

2 to proclaim the year of Jehovah's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

3 to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.

Paul in Lystra:

Acts 14:7-10 KJV

7 And there they preached the gospel.

8 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:

9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.

Paul did 3 things and the crippled man did 3 things.

Paul 1) preached the Gospel, 2) perceived that the man had faith to be healed, 3) told him to stand up on his feet.

The man 1) heard the Gospel, 2) believed the Gospel (giving him faith to be healed 3) acted on his faith and stood up on his feet.

FINAL SCRIPTURE:

1 Tim 1:15-16 NKJV

15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

Saved – sozo – NT:4982

to save, to keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger or destruction - to save one (from injury or peril); to save a suffering one - from perishing or one suffering from disease, to make well, to make whole, heal, restore to health.

Final Point - He that hears the GOSPEL shall be saved – sozo –

So what GOSPEL should we preach .. the WHOLE GOSPEL .. Jesus saves .. Jesus heals .. Jesus restores .. Jesus fills with the Holy Spirit ..

THOSE LISTENING TODAY HERE AT CHURCH AND THERE AT HOME . . . TRUST JESUS TODAY AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR .. RECEIVE HIM TODAY AND ALL THE GOODNESS OF HEAVEN BECOMES YOURS .. SALVATION FROM HELL, HEALING FOR YOUR BODY, RESTORATION FOR YOUR MIND, THE HOLY SPIRIT TO FILL AND SATISFY YOU.
