CLEAN BEFORE MY LORD

This is what the Holy Spirit is calling us to be TODAY - CLEAN before my LORD. HOW do I DO that ??

4 ways :)

#1.) Become BORN AGAIN -

2 Cor 5:17 (KJV)

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: OLD THINGS ARE PASSED AWAY; BEHOLD, ALL THINGS ARE BECOME NEW. (YOU BECOME NEW - CLEAN ON THE INSIDE)

Paul TOTALLY believed in this CLEANSING when he became BORN AGAIN:

2 Cor 7:1-2 (KJV)

1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

2 Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man. (Remember, this is the guy that Ananias said concerning:

Acts 9:13 (NIV)

13 "Lord," Ananias answered, "I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem.)

Paul became BORN AGAIN and HE WAS CLEAN from any former actions and sins.

#2.) REPENT and be BAPTIZED:

The lyrics for the ‘70’s Christian song, “Buried Alive” still bless me:

“I’m going down to the river, my Lord . . . I’m gonna be BURIED ALIVE . . . I’m gonna show my . . . Heavenly Father . . . the man I used to be has FINALLY died ! ! !”

If you have NOT been water baptized AFTER receiving Jesus as your Lord and Savior, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR ??? TALK ABOUT CLEAN BEFORE MY LORD ... check out this scripture:

Acts 2:38-39 (NIV)

38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SINS. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off-- for all whom the Lord our God will call."

YOU WANNA BE CLEAN BEFORE YOUR LORD - COME AND BE BAPTIZED ! ! !

What about ME, pastor .. I’ve BEEN born again (clean) .. I’ve been water baptized (clean) .. but I have sinned since then (not clean) .. NOW, how do I get CLEAN BEFORE MY LORD ??

#3.) REPENT and CONFESS:

I Jn 1:8-10 (KJV)

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

So, Christian .. you might sin from time to time .. DON’T RUN from God when you do .. run TO Him .. obey the previous scripture .. mean it with your heart ! ! (CLEAN)

STAY CLEAN:

We have to be WILLING to obey God’s Word and that means NOT SINNING - STAYING CLEAN.

If you are NOT willing to stay clean (be honest), say to the Father, “I’m WILLING to be MADE WILLING . . .

MAKE SHORT GOALS of HOLINESS for yourself -- ACHIEVABLE GOALS, a DAY ... 3 days ... a week. BE CLEAN BEFORE MY LORD!

In a society that increasingly is coarse, profane, and sensual, genuine holiness will make a Believer stand out like a light in a dark room.

Titus 2:11-13

"God's readiness to give and forgive is now public. Salvation is available for everyone! We're being shown how to turn our backs on a godless, indulgent life, and how to take on a God-filled, God-honoring life. This new life starts right now, and is whetting our appetites for the glorious day when our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ appears. He offered himself as a sacrifice to free us from a dark, rebellious life into this good, pure life, making us people he can be proud of, energetic in goodness." - The Message
