SELF ESTEEM
Dr. James Dobson (celebrated author, Christian psychologist and founder of Focus on the Family), in the book, “What Wives Wish Their Husbands Knew About Women” polled 10,000 women to rank their TOP TEN causes of depression so that men could better understand women - Among the choices were, “Lack of romantic love in marriage” and “Finances”, but the NUMBER ONE REASON listed BY WOMEN as their cause of depression was “Low Self Esteem”. It is also put forth commonly that MEN derive much of THEIR self esteem and value in life from their JOB. What is a man DOESN’T HAVE a job or HATES his job? We’d better find our how to GET self esteem ! ! Self esteem is NOT “self made” or becoming a “self made man” .. its secret lies OUTSIDE of “self” in finding out WHAT you are, or what you have become.
Actually, a better definition of SELF ESTEEM is LOVE or APPRECIATION of SELF:

The NUMBER ONE way to BEGIN having self esteem or self respect is to BECOME someone of value - BECOME a CHILD of GOD :)

So, BELIEVE that Jesus was raised from the dead for YOU and RECEIVE Him as your Lord and Savior ... here’s a sample prayer:
Father God ... I call upon You ... I believe that Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead so that I may be forgiven and so I may become a CHILD of God ... I RECEIVE JESUS as my Lord and Savior ... Amen :)
YAY ! ! ! You have BECOME a CHILD of the MOST HIGH GOD ! ! That makes you SOMETHING TERRIFIC :)

As I said, “Self” Esteem doesn’t really come from yourself (that is why SO MANY men and women lack it) - it comes from KNOWLEDGE of the TRUTH of WHO and WHAT you are.
