WORRY IS A SIN

^^^ indicates a saying.

/// indicates a testimony.

Holy scripture is obvious.

^^^ DR. CHARLES MAYO of the famed Mayo clinic said: “I’ve never known a man who died of hard work, but MANY who die of worry.” ^^^

Matt 6:33-34  (NIV)

33      But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

34          Therefore DO NOT WORRY about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

JESUS SAID (HIS WORD IS LAW), “Do NOT worry” . . . IF you worry, therefore, are you not breaking His law . . . are you not SINNING ? ? ?

/// DR. KENNETH E. HAGIN testifies that once, his wife blurted out, “You wouldn’t worry if me and both the children fell dead in the living room” (the poor grammar was hers).  Dr. Hagin promptly replied (and this infuriated her more), “Why no, what good would it do to start worrying THEN?” ///

^^^ YOU CAN’T CHANGE the past, but you ruin a perfectly good present by worrying about the future.

Phil 4:6-7  (NIV)

6        Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

7        And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (read also in the amplified translation)

/// SMITH WIGGLESWORTH  (English preacher) had this testimony:

He said he was in a hotel in a town foreign to him when in the middle of the night, a horrible rattling was heard coming from the inside of the closet.  When he got up to investigate, Smith testifies that when he opened the doors of the closet, he discovered that Satan HIMSELF had manifested himself there and was trying to cause terrible fear.  Smith said, “Oh, its only you”, closed the doors and went back to bed ! ///

GOD HAS COMMANDED US NOT TO WORRY, MAKING WORRY A SIN ! ! !

^^^ WORRY IS LIKE A ROCKING CHAIR; it will give you something to do but it won’t GET you anywhere.

1 Pet 5:6-7  (NIV)

6          Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

7        Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (read also in the Amplified Translation)

/// DR. LESTER SUMRALL testified that as he slept in a foreign country, he was suddenly awakened by his bed shaking violently and moving across the floor away from the window.  He immediately rebuked the spirit and all vibration stopped.  Dr. Sumrall testifies that as he realized what had happened, he said. “Hey ! Get back in here. When I went to bed my bed was by the WINDOW” and the shaking and moving started again until the bed was back its original position! ///

^^^ AN OLD MAN was asked what had most robbed him of his joy in life.  His reply was, “Things that never happened.” ^^^

WHAT HAVE YOU WORRIED ABOUT in the past that NEVER HAPPENED??  Think about it . . . MANY things I’m SURE ! ! ! (Share some testimonies)

Mark 4:3-20  (NIV)

3          "Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed.

4        As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.

5        Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow.

6        But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.

7        Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain.

8        Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, multiplying thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times."

9        Then Jesus said, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

10      When he was alone, the Twelve and the others around him asked him about the parables.

11      He told them, "The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables

12      so that, "'they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!'"

13      Then Jesus said to them, "Don't you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable?

14      The farmer sows the word.

15      Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.

16          Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy.

17      But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.

18      Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word;

19      but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things COME IN (the King James version says, “ENTERING IN”) and choke the word, making it unfruitful.

20          Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop-- thirty, sixty or even a hundred times what was sown."

^^^ WORRY IS INTEREST paid on TROUBLE before its due. ^^^
