The Bible
We believe that the scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
(Deuteronomy 4:2; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:105; Proverbs 30:5; Revelation 22:18-19)
God
We believe that there is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Genesis 1:1, 26-27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2;
Romans 1:20)
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, Jesus Christ arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Majesty on High as our High Priest and Advocate.
(Isaiah 7:14; 9:6; Matthew 1:22-23; Luke 1:27, 34; John 1:1-5; John 14:10-31; Hebrews 4:14-15; Acts 1:9-11; Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11)
The Holy Spirit
We believe that during the present age, the Holy Spirit glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ by convicting people of sin, regenerating believing sinners, and indwelling, guiding, instructing, and empowering believers for godly living and service. The Holy Spirit brings a variety of spiritual gifts, in varying forms, to the believer. Such gifts allow a follower of Christ to produce His fruit in their life and living. We believe the Holy Spirit is active in guiding our lives.
(2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-14; John 14:25-26; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 1 Corinthians Chapter 12; Ephesians 1:13, 5:18; Galatians 5:25)
Mankind
We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost. Only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
(Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Ezekiel 36:25-27; Isaiah 53:6; 59:1-2 Jeremiah 17:9; Ephesians 1:13; Romans 3:23)
Salvation
We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection from the dead will provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and are therefore, children of God by grace through faith in Him alone.
(Ezekiel 36:26-27; John 1:12, 3:16-17, 14:6; Romans 5:1, 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26)
The Church
We believe the church, under the general heading "Evangelical Church" is made up of all believers who have professed their faith in Christ alone for the forgiveness of their sins. We form a large group of people, some here on earth and many already in heaven, who recognize that Christ alone is the head of His church, which is one church, not many. Membership is not confined only to those who belong to one particular church or denomination. We strive to foster and enjoy relationships and serving with believers of any biblical evangelical congregation. We will submit to Christ and His authority as found in Scripture and as guided by the Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 16:16-18; Acts 2:42-47; Romans 12:5; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Ephesians 1:19-23; Colossians 3:14-15)
